ABOUT
EPD Saudi Arabia is the official licensee of the International EPD® System in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. We are a registered, independent limited company, founded and operated by sustainability researchers based at KRTP, King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST). While we maintain a strong research and knowledge link with the KAUST Urban Lab, EPD Saudi Arabia is legally and operationally separate from KAUST.
We are committed to enabling companies and organizations in Saudi Arabia and the region to develop, verify, and publish Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) in line with international standards such as ISO 14025 and EN 15804.
To accelerate sustainable transformation in Saudi Arabia by:
Promoting life cycle thinking across industries and sectors.
Supporting credible and verified environmental disclosure.
Aligning businesses with Vision 2030 and global sustainability frameworks.
Enabling participation in green procurement, ESG, and carbon markets.
EPD Saudi Arabia serves as a neutral platform that:
Administers the registration and publication of EPDs
Provides access to approved LCA practitioners and third-party verifiers
Delivers training and capacity-building programs on LCA and EPDs
Ensures compliance with the rules of the International EPD® System
Engages with public and private sectors to support environmental transparency
As the official licensee in Saudi Arabia:
We follow and implement the operational procedures set by EPD International AB
We are responsible for local outreach, EPD registration, and quality assurance
We help ensure that products published under the Saudi system are fully globally recognized
